Project Background
The role of entrepreneurship in economic growth and development has been underscored since the seminal work of Joseph Schumpeter. As a result, many countries, states, regions, and cities, have undertaken efforts to spur innovation and entrepreneurial activity by creating entrepreneurial ecosystems. However, African countries have lagged behind because of the lack of adequate entrepreneurship education. Hence, the purpose of this program, which is part of the Global Entrepreneurship Education Initiative of the College of Business at Delaware State University, is to provide entrepreneurship education in African countries to contribute to the emergence of local entrepreneurs. This project seeks to support the implementation of the COB Global Entrepreneurship Education Initiative in Uganda in partnership with Feminature Uganda. Hence the purpose of this program is to contribute to the emergence of local entrepreneurs in the space of Innovation.
