Camp Kennedy 2019 Report

The Camp Kennedy project is a Civic Education Project of Feminature Uganda in partnership with the US Mission Kampala (Uganda). The project targets student leaders between the age of 16 – 18 years in secondary schools in Uganda to boost their civic competence to respond to the needs of their communities and country in non-violent ways.

Borrowing and hinged to the history and legacy of President John. F. Kennedy the 35th President of the United States of America, the students draw and emulate lessons from his presidency and legacy and his call to public service that saw the rise in the civil rights movements across the country, the project advocates for inclusivity and mechanisms to Counter Violent Extremism in Uganda.
